Taylor Swift is the latest A-lister to sign a deal with a big soft drink company.
Following in the footsteps of David Beckham, Madonna and One Direction, who have all worked with Pepsi, Taylor has signed a deal with Diet Coke.
The I Knew You Were Trouble star – who confirmed the partnership in a post on her website titled “Some Extraordinary News” – explained that the iconic drinks company will be involved with her upcoming North American Red tour.
Speaking in a video 23-year-old Taylor said: “I wanted to share some news with you, because we’re actually going to be making it official with one of the great loves of my life – Diet Coke.”
She went on: “I wanted to tell you guys first. We’ve been in conversations about this partnership that’s going to include so many fun things having to do with the tour, having to do with Diet Coke in general – behind the scenes for a commercial shoot.”
Urging fans to sign up to Diet Coke’s Facebook page, Taylor added: “I really can’t wait to begin all this and I think it’s going to be an extraordinary ride. I just wanted to tell you guys first because you guys have been so amazing – thank you for everything and I’ll talk to you soon.”
The Red tour will kick off 13 March in Omaha, Nebraska.
