Taylor has been nominated for three GRAMMY awards!

Soon after nomination list for the 54th annual Grammy Awards was announced, Twitter was flooded with celebratory messages from the nominees. The likes of Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Rihanna shared the joy of making into the list on the micro-blogging site.

21-year-old Swift excitedly informed her followers by writing in all-capital letters, “3 GRAMMY NOMINATIONS !! ” The blonde cutie is vying for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song (“Mean”), and competing for Best Country Album (“Speak Now”).

Perry, meanwhile, tweeted, “I am so proud of my little Firework. Thank you.” Indeed, the wife of British funnyman Russell Brand has the inspiring song to thank to for landing two coveted nods this year. She is up for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.

As for Riri, she posted, “#GRAMMYS2012 5 nominations!!! This year keeps getting better and better!#LOUD up 4 Album of the year is so #MAJAH.” In the top category, she faces off Adele, Foo Fighters, Lady GaGa and Bruno Mars. “Congratulations to all the other nominees!” she wrote.

GaGa expressed her gratitude as well. “I’m humbled + honored to have a Trinity of nominations from the Grammy’s, including Album of the Year for Born This Way. I love u so much,” she wrote. “#PawsUp for our album’s being nominated three years in a row. I could never do it without you. Together, we were #BornToBeBrave.”

The other stars who took to Twitter to celebrate the nominations included Bon Iver, Melanie Fiona, Questlove, Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Wiz Khalifa, Pink, The Band Perry and Bruno Mars.

Iver tweeted, “4 Grammy noms! Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Alt. Music Album. Thanks, y’all and @TheGRAMMYs!” Fiona exclaimed, “Holy S**t!!! I’m nominated for 2 Grammy’s this year!!!! S/O to @CeeLoGreen @SirJackSplash for the collab! LOVE TO YOU THE FANS!!! xo”

The drummer of The Roots wrote, “Whoo Hooo! @theroots & @MsBettyWright got a nomination for best traditional rnb performance for ‘Surrender’!” Lady A also couldn’t contain their excitement, “We are so excited about our Grammy nomination! Congrats to all the nominees! Incredible. Thank you!!”

Shelton posted, “Just found that I’m the first EVER person laying in bed (drunk) in Tishomingo Oklahoma with 3 Grammy nominations!!!” The Maroon 5 frontman sent a message, “Nominated for a grammy!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!” Khalifa wrote, “Im F**kin Nominated For 2 Grammys Yo!”

Pink expressed her gratitude, “ha! honestly so surprised and grateful for the Grammy nom for ‘Perfect’. such a treat. thanks for the love and support everyone. Blessed.” The Band Perry humbly tweeted, “Wow!!! A Grammy nomination … we feel so very honored. Congrats to all the nominees!”

Being one of those who got multiple nods, Mars also joined the celebration on Twitter. He showed how thrilled he was by posting, “I’ve been trynna think of something clever to say.. But the only thing that comes to my mind is… FRIKIKIKIKI!! We Did It! #Hooligans.”

Attention, country music fans! Mark your calendars; the lineup for Capital Hoedown 2012 has been announced and it’s bigger and better than ever.

“Our first year, we had traditional country artists, and last year, it was all new country,” says Denis Benoit, President and CEO of Concert International. “This year, what we’ve done is we’ve brought them both together.”

Making her only scheduled appearance in 2012 so far, Taylor Swift will perform at the third edition of Capital Hoedown, one of North America’s biggest country music festivals.

The one and only Reba McEntire, the Queen of Country, will also perform a headlining set, as will Brad Paisley, one of country music’s biggest superstars.

There is a good mix of traditional and newer country artists in Capital Hoedown 2012’s lineup, meaning there is something for everyone.

With a lineup this big, Benoit says a change of venue was in order to accommodate a much larger audience.

Capital Hoedown 2012 will take place Aug. 10-12 at Walter Baker Park (Terry Fox Drive at Maple Grove Road) — a Kanata venue that is big enough to host more than 30,000 people.
