Taylor supports Best Buy’s @15, which gives teens the opportunity to decide what charities they donate a million dollars to. Taylor’s song “Fifteen” is featured as part of the campaign (and she appears in print ads). Check out their website for more information.

2007

  • Taylor teamed up with Tennessee governor Phil Bredesen to launch a campaign to combat internet sex crimes and protect children from online predators. The campaign was a year-long and distributed internet safety information to parents and students across Tennessee.

2008

  • Taylor donated a pink Chevy pick-up truck (given to her by her record label) to the Victory Junction Gang, a children’s charity.
  • Proceeds from her merchandise sales at the 2008 Country Music Festival were donated to Red Cross, the Nashville Area Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and the National American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
  • Donated $10,000 (funded by CMT ONE COUNTRY) to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by winning the “Video of the Year” and “Female Video of the Year” awards at the 2008 CMT Music Awards.
  • Donated $100,000 to the Red Cross in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to help the victims of the Iowa flood.

2009

  • Donated $5,000 (funded by CMT ONE COUNTRY) to American Red Cross by winning the “Video of the Year” and “Female Video of the Year” awards at the 2008 CMT Music Awards.
  • Donated her prom dress to donatemydress.org, which raised $1,200 for charity.
  • On her birthday, she donated $250,000 to various schools around the country which she either has attended or been involved with.
